On February 12, SUAI hosted a lecture by Igor Rozhdestvensky, a member of the National Association for Technology Transfer (NATT) and one of the leading experts in Russia on the commercialization of R&D and intellectual property results.
The lecture was devoted to the basic concepts and an effective tool for commercialization and technology transfer and was held for the staff of the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. The rector, directors of institutes, representatives of the SUAI Engineering School, project managers, graduate students and scientists were among those who attended the lecture.
Igor Rozhdestvensky stressed the importance of the demand for projects and their commercialization. Upon his opinion, innovation is not technology, but building assets based on technology.
In November 2023, SUAI became a member of NATT. Starting from that time, the collaboration has yielded results in working on a commercialization strategy. Starting on February 19, at least 20 university employees will undergo a joint month long training program of NATT and the Federal Institute of Industrial Property on Certified Technology Transfer Professional. It will include a full-time on site module, 7 online modules and an in-person examination of projects.
