Students of the Department of System Analysis and Logistics, employees of the BAS laboratory Grigory Petrov and Nikita Tarasov took part in the international drone racing festival Rostec Drone Festival
Rostec Drone Festival 2024 is an international event dedicated to unmanned technologies and drone racing. This year the festival was held at the large sports arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. The best Russian and foreign pilots competed in the digital races, which are competitions on drones in virtual space (technical simulator) and on real FPV drones. Professional teams took part in the relay race, which included such game disciplines as drone basketball and drone darts, as well as circular drone races with pit stops.
The participants of the festival were the best pilots of Russia, who are in the top ranking of the Russian Drone Racing Federation, as well as invited foreign athletes. In addition, the pilots demonstrated the control of quadrocopters in the freestyle discipline. The total prize fund of the event amounted to 1.3 million rubles.
Athletes from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, France, Serbia, and Turkey took part in the festival.
