The international scientific and technical conference on Digital Reality: Space and Spatial Data, Processing Technologies was held in Minsk from September 16 to 19
At the plenary session of the conference, Elena Chichkova, Director of the SUAI CosmoInform Space Services Center (SSC), made a presentation on the experience of using remote sensing data in conducting satellite industrial environmental monitoring of territories.
The report outlines an approach to satellite monitoring of specified territories based on many years of experience in performing applied research by the SUAI Central Research Institute in the Northwestern region of the Russian Federation. The report also included the monitoring technologies and methods of identification of various types of underlying surfaces used in analytical work, including the method of layered monitoring.
Elena Chichkova spoke about the information and analytical service developed in the SSC for environmental monitoring of territories on a regional scale. Industrial environmental monitoring is based on the use of geospatial data in the form of multispectral surveys of high and medium spatial resolution spacecraft, cartographic materials, and data from route surveys of territories.
