The opening ceremony of the XXIX International Bios Forum and the Bios Olympiad took on the premises of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Every year, the events bring together scientists, teachers, school and university students from all over the world to discuss one of the most important topics of our time – environmental protection and the future of our planet. SUAI students annually take part in this event, make their presentations and are published in the collection of writings.
Opening remarks were made by Ilya Shishkin, scientific director of the Bios School, associate professor of the Institute of Fundamental Training and Technological Innovations. Galina Peshkova, Vice-Rector for the Development of the University Complex of SUAI, as a member of the honorary presidium of the Forum, noted the importance of developing environmental awareness among young people in her welcoming speech.
The Сonference was also attended by Elena Frolova, Director of the SUAI Institute of Fundamental Training and Technological Innovations, and Natalia Zhilnikova, Director of the SUAI Ecocenter. The Forum will last until September 30. During the events, participants will be able to exchange knowledge, discuss new ideas, and find solutions to the most acute environmental problems.
