From February 10 to February 21, a distance learning course on Lean Manufacturing for students and teachers was organized at SUAI in cooperation with Jilin University (China).
In her lectures, Professor Shan Hongying touched upon such issues as the use of intelligent production management systems, monitoring downtime, and balancing production capacities. The results achieved through the application of lean manufacturing theory by Chinese companies were demonstrated, and examples of the organization of production lines were given. The course was attended by students and teachers of the SUAI Institute of Fundamental Training and Technological Innovations and the Institute of Cyberphysical Systems.
The Memorandum of Understanding between SUAI and Jilin University was signed at the end of 2023 after Shan Hongying’s visit to our university. In June 2024, Roman Malashin, a lecturer at Department No. 14, delivered a short course of lectures on artificial intelligence for Chinese graduate students in a remote format. And in November, several SUAI teachers attended a Scientific Forum in Shanghai at the invitation of Jilin University. We hope that we have many more interesting joint projects ahead of us!
