The XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place in St. Petersburg on June 18-21 at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center.
Within the framework of the Forum, SUAI Rector Yulia Antokhina participated in the key discussion on Technological Entrepreneurship VS Technological Leadership. How to Ensure the Return on Budget Investments. The session was devoted to finding a balance between supporting technological entrepreneurship and building national technological leadership capable of ensuring sustainable development and competitiveness of the country. The participants discussed strategies for the transformation of scientific developments into commercially successful products, the role of universities and research centers in creating an innovative ecosystem, as well as mechanisms for interaction between government, business and the scientific community.
In her speech, the rector emphasized that fundamental research is necessary to ensure technological leadership, which, in turn, requires time and funding.
