4 сентября SUAI at UNESCO Digital Learning Week

From September 2 to 5, UNESCO headquarters in Paris is hosting Digital Learning Week — an event that brings together experts from all over the world to solve urgent problems in education related to the use of new technologies.

The main topic of the Week is the use of Artificial Intelligence in education. As part of the Russian delegation, SUAI Rector Yulia Antokhina and Deputy Head of the SUAI UNESCO Chair Oksana Novikova are taking part in sessions and business meetings within the framework of this large-scale event. On the opening day of the event, the heads of the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme held a meeting with the departments to improve the effectiveness of activities in accordance with the priorities of the Organization. The Rector of SUAI held a number of negotiations with partner departments on the issue of cooperation with African countries. The plenary session was opened by Ms. Stefania Giannini, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Education, presenting her virtual avatar.

Yulia Antokhina made a number of constructive suggestions for the implementation of best practices such as conducting online Skillcamps in technical disciplines, preparing joint publications, transforming educational programs and introducing practice-oriented learning in both secondary vocational education and higher education.
