The X Anniversary All-Russian Cosmonautics and Aviation Forum «KosmoStart» was held in St. Petersburg from October 16 to 18. This year’s annual forum is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of its founding.
It was decided to hold the opening of the X All-Russian Cosmonautics and Aviation Forum «KosmoStart» in one of the most «cosmic» locations in St. Petersburg — the V. P. Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology, located on the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. On October 16, the event was kicked off by a solemn noon cannon shot from the Naryshkin bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress, the sound of which announced the anniversary to the whole city. The honorary right to fire was given to the rector of SUAI Yulia Antokhina.
On the first day of the Forum, a number of celebrations and a panel discussion with the participation of industrial partners were held.
On the second day of the Forum cosmonauts, heroes of Russia met with schoolchildren.
The X All-Russian Cosmonautics and Aviation Forum «KosmoStart» ended on 18th of October at the Peter Raduga shopping mall, where its guests listened to lectures by experts in the field of cosmonautics and aviation. The guests were able to ask questions to astronauts and even send their photo into orbit.
