4 марта The VIII International Forum on Metrological Support of Innovative Technologies

The Forum dedicated to the 85th anniversary of SUAI gathered more than three hundred participants from Russia, the CIS countries and far abroad.

On March 4, the opening of the annual International Forum on Metrological Support of Innovative Technologies took place at St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. This year’s event is taking place for the eighth time and has a special status — the Forum is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the University.


Over the years, the Forum has convincingly proved its relevance to the broad scientific and professional community, becoming an authoritative platform for the exchange of experience in the application of modern information and measurement systems in high-tech high-tech manufacturing, as well as in the field of education.


The event is held under the auspices of the unique in the Russian higher education system UNESCO Department of Distance Engineering Education, established in 1999 and contributing to the successful involvement of students and staff of SUAI in leading educational initiatives of other countries.


Vladimir Okrepilov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of the Metrological Academy of the Russian Federation, Honorary Citizen of St. Petersburg, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Metrological Support of Innovative Technologies and Industrial Safety at SUAI, addressed the participants of the Forum with a welcoming speech.

— I am pleased to state that the Forum has grown into the most important scientific event in the industry, where participants — scientists and university specialists — are interested in solving the main problems of domestic and global metrology. The fact that the Forum has become traditional and has gained high prestige is greatly to the credit of SUAI, personally to its rector Yulia Anatolyevna Antokhina and all the university staff involved in organizing this significant event,» concluded Vladimir Valentinovich.


The work of the Forum continued in eight sections. The proceedings of the Forum will include more than 300 abstracts of reports by participants.
