On April 17, the main celebration of the year for all those involved in the glorious history of the University took place in the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theater — an evening dedicated to the anniversary of the first Aerospace University.
The anniversary program «85 years of LIAI-SUAI» brought together hundreds of students, graduates, employees, partners and honored guests of the University.
The evening opened stunningly. The hall was plunged into darkness, and hundreds of lights of mobile phones lit up, just like stars in the night sky. And then the Cosmos overture sounded — a symbol of the eternal childhood dream of flight, which 85 years ago became the guiding light of the future university and leads it to this day. A theatrical show was staged in the hall and on the stage with the participation of SUAI Student Creative Studios and the children of the staff — as a reminder that the traditions of the University are passed down from generation to generation.
Later during the evening, the guests were invited to a gala concert of the soloists of the Mariinsky Opera and Symphony Orchestra which was a brilliant and unforgettable gift. Immortal classical works by brilliant composers echoed the main theme of the evening — the dream of flight, which gave life to SUAI 85 years ago and continues to inspire it today.
The anniversary evening, which united generations, became a vivid confirmation of the high status of SUAI as one of the leading technical universities in the country, a center of attraction for talents and a stronghold of the traditions of the national engineering school.
