On April 22-24, the first Forum of Rectors of Latin America and Russia dedicated to Transformation of Educational Perspective: Innovation and the Challenge for Universities, was held in Santiago, Chile.
The Forum’s plenary and breakout sessions and program events are held at Bernardo O’Higgins University (Santiago, Chile).
The purpose of the Forum is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices in the field of technological innovation, digitalization and scientific and educational cooperation. Universities from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Chile and Ecuador are represented at the Forum. Among the participants are representatives of ministries and associations, commercial enterprises and banks.
The SUAI delegation, headed by Rector Yulia Antokhina, is among the Forum’s participants. The Rector spoke at the plenary session «Universities in the modern world: strengthening cooperation for the development of global security» with the topic of the report «Science and innovation in international academic cooperation». She also gave an interview about the work of the Forum and new scientific and technological projects, and spoke about the education of Chilean students at SUAI.
