9 июня SUAI and Hebei University of Foreign Languages signed a cooperation agreement

The parties discussed the prospects of academic exchanges, participation in international grants and other areas of joint work.

On June 9, a delegation from Hebei University of Foreign Languages visited St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. The visit ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two universities.

«When we share ideals, then distance is not an obstacle,» is the opinion of the representatives of the delegation from China, who visited SUAI for the first time. Hebei University of Foreign Languages is located in Shijiazhuang Province. This is a young university — it was founded in 1998, but in its history it has trained more than 72,000 specialists. Today, the university has 149 specialties in 9 fields of sciences — from medicine to law. The key specialization of the university is foreign languages: 75 languages from different countries of the world are taught at the university.

Opening the meeting, SUAI Rector Yulia Antokhina warmly welcomed her Chinese colleagues and stressed that SUAI, despite the engineering and technical specialization of the university, pays great attention to humanitarian areas, including foreign languages.

The projects of specific forms of cooperation were proposed for discussion by Artur Budagov, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Technologies and Law at SUAI, and Tatiana Kolesnikova, Head of the Department of International Entrepreneurship at SUAI.

— We invite students of Hebei University of Foreign Languages to study at the graduate school of our Institute, to participate in numerous annual national and international conferences, and university teachers to become authors of articles in scientific journals of the Institute. In addition, we are ready to consider the possibility of creating joint educational programs in economics, law and other overlapping areas,» concluded Artur Budagov.

The meeting ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement, the exchange of souvenirs and a shared photo. For SUAI, this is another step in developing international partnerships with Chinese universities and expanding humanitarian ties between the two countries.
