7 октября SUAI at the International Astronautical Congress

Yulia Antokhina, Rector of SUAI, and Valentin Olenev, Director of the SUAI Aerospace Research and Development Center, participated in the 77th International Astronautical Congress in Antalya (Turkey).

For more than 75 years, the International Astronautical Congress has been held by the International Astronautical Federation and gathers participants in the space industry from all over the world.

— This is not the first time that our University has participated in events of this level. The Congress unites all branches and directions of the space sphere, opening access to advanced scientific developments and relevant information. It is a unique platform for establishing contacts with the global space community and searching for promising partners. More than 7,000 applications were submitted from scientists to participate in the Conference, and only 600 papers were selected for inclusion in the program. Participation in such a large—scale event allows us to learn about the latest trends in the aerospace industry, which are necessary to continue developing our strategic projects, including within the framework of the Priority 2030 program,» said Rector Yulia Antokhina.

Valentin Olenev, Director of the SUAI Aerospace Research and Development Center, delivered his report on the Automation of the Development of Aerospace Communication Technologies at the Symposium on Space Communications and Navigation.

— The described methodology is an engineering process, the main advantages of which are a clear separation of stages, the possibility of organizing parallel design and modeling, error correction management, and clear, transparent completion criteria. We present a holistic concept for the transformation of the communication protocol design process,» said Valentin Olenev in his speech. — This approach will automate the evolution of communication technologies: it is enough to upload a ready-made standard into the final aggregation scheme along with improved technical requirements, and you can proceed to the next stage of development. As a result, we will receive accelerated development and improvement of communication technologies, including for space communications.

At a time when communications, security, ecology and climate sustainability are increasingly dependent on space technologies, this Congress has become a unifying platform for countries and industries.
